In your role as the Head of the Strategy & Institutional Performance Program at the Ministry of Finance, what has been the biggest challenge in terms of implementing and monitoring strategies that align with organizational goals? How did you overcome this hurdle?

As a practitioner of strategy execution, the way I overcome hurdles to achieving the integration of internal and external environments is by gaining a full understanding of all the abstracters and the ways to solve them.

What strategic approach would you advise governmental entities to counteract increased volatility and unpredictability?

All government entities need to work on how their roles interact with other entities—namely government-to-government (G2G), the private sector, government-to-business (G2B), citizens, government-to-citizen (G2C), and their respective communities. This blueprint will elaborate more on how the government can achieve its goals. Plus, human capital is the game changer in any objective.

Strategy and Performance Management Practices

What would you advise multilateral institutions to reach effectiveness and alignment in strategy planning and implementation?

These institutions should work in a spirit of integration and achieve a comprehensive understanding of the role assigned to them and the nature of the intersections. Also, this type of business needs to build a common team spirit and governance that enables the implementation to achieve goals.
